Common Customer FAQs

Why is my Blueberry Kisses different to my Blueberry Burst?

While both varieties mature with a similar shape, Kisses is a less compact and bushy young plant than Burst. This means that your customers could, and should, be pinching or cutting back long growth shoots to keep the young plant bushy as it matures.

Why are the leaves on my blueberry suddenly brown and dropping off?

This could be caused by several issues but most of the time overwatering is the biggest killer of blueberries in the home garden. If this is occurring on an older plant, it may be that the plant has had inadequate fertilising and watering, or possibly even the incorrect potting mix!

Why don’t you recommend growing blueberries in the ground?

Blueberries prefer acidic, free draining soil which is difficult to achieve in most soil types. Planting a blueberry in a pot gives home gardeners more control over the soil environment.
