This apricot variety has been available in Australia for many years and PlantNet® now offers it to the home gardener as a dwarf apricot variety. All varieties chosen in the dwarf range produce full size fruit and are sweet and crisp to eat. Please be advised we recommend dwarf trees are staked permanently due to trees producing high crop loads.

Suitability
Not recommended for coastal Queensland northern New South Wales as winters are not cold enough to produce fruit.

1 review for Dwarf Storey’s Apricot

  1. Brent Bielanowski (verified owner)

Purchased this bare root variety in Winter 2020. Currently placed in a large pot in inner Melbourne. This is the most vigorous fruit tree in my collection growing quite substantially during the previous summer. Unlike my peaches and plums, the new growth in this tree is quite leggy with prolific bud growth. Will require regular printing to maintain a compact form for the backyard. Excepting fruit in the second year so fruit thinning is a must. No issues with pests or fungus on this tree this far.
