Damson plum has been available in Australia for many years and PlantNet® now makes it available as Dwarf Damson Plum. All plum varieties chosen in the dwarf range produce full size fruit and are sweet and crisp to eat. Please be advised we recommend dwarf trees are staked permanently due to trees producing high crop loads.

Damson plums are small, ovoid shaped fruit which have a distinctive, slightly tart flavour. Damson plums are great for eating fresh but can be an acquired taste – they are excellent for making a wonderful jam!

Suitability
Not recommended for coastal Queensland northern New South Wales as winters are not cold enough to produce fruit.
