Green Gage Plum has been available in Australia for many years and PlantNet® now makes it available as Dwarf Green Gage Plum. All plum varieties chosen in the dwarf range produce full size fruit and are sweet and crisp to eat. Please be advised we recommend dwarf trees are staked permanently due to trees producing high crop loads.

Green Gage Plum is one of the oldest varieties, apparently introduced to Europe in the 15th or 16th century! Now a variety shared worldwide, this delicious plum is sweeter than it looks, and great for eating fresh, stewing, and making jams with. Green Gage Plum is a parent to several modern plums with light skin.

Suitability
Not recommended for coastal Queensland northern New South Wales as winters are not cold enough to produce fruit.
