  • Store unused pheromone lures in your fridge until use.

Description

This pack contains three (3) oriental fruit moth pheremone lures to be used in a delta trap or DIY Insect Trap. Each pheromone lure lasts 4 weeks, therefore this pack will last you 12 weeks. 12 weeks will cover the susceptible period of your PlantNet fruit trees to the oriental fruit moth.

For use in stone fruit, apples, and pears in Australia. First generation larvae of oriental fruit moth target growing shoot tips of stone fruit, and the females producing these larvae emerge when stone fruit (particularly peaches and nectarines) start to flower. Therefore commence monitoring at bud swell in late August/September. Monitoring these moths with pheromone traps gives an early warning of the arrival or emergence of the pest and gives an indication of pest pressure throughout the season. This information can be used to improve pest management decisions.

Check traps weekly, removing any moths and incidental insects from the sticky base of the delta trap or the inside of the bucket trap. Replace the sticky inserts in traps when they become filled with dust or insects. Replace the pheromone lures monthly. See our Pests and Diseases page for a description of pests and their control.
